Will Shelly or Brendon Get Evicted from the 'Big Brother' House? (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Aug 18th 2011 11:59PM
'Big Brother 13' live evictionWould it be Shelly going home, or would Daniele get to preside over the eviction of Brendon a second time on 'Big Brother' (Thu., 9PM ET on CBS)? After floundering last week, when Lawon volunteered to get eliminated because he had delusions of a super-powered return and Brendon returned to the house instead, Daniele got her game back on track this week.

She won HOH, and immediately started testing the waters with other possible strategies. She always had in the back of her mind the notion of backdooring Brendon, but it was a gamble when she didn't nominate him.

By not nominating him right off, though, he wasn't guaranteed a play in the POV competition. That gamble paid off big time when Adam won and pulled himself off the block. Now, there was no way for Brendon to save himself, and all she needed to do was ensure she had enough votes to evict him again.

In a way, Rachel was helping Daniele's case, as her dramatics were turning everyone in the house against her. So much, they wanted her out first, but Brendon is the bigger threat in challenges.

In the end, everyone flipped away from Brendon and Rachel, with only Rachel voting to eliminate Shelly. Now, there are four veterans and four newbies in the house and Rachel appears to be on the outs with everyone? If so, then she needs to win HOH to ensure her safety.

But Jeff and Jordan are wild cards at this point, as we don't know what they're thinking long term. It made sense to go with the flow this week and vote to eliminate Brendon, but could they pull Rachel back into their alliance? Jordan is Rachel's faux-Brendon when he's not in the house, so you know Rachel's going to try to play that card.

But will anyone else want to play with Rachel, or is next week's elimination a foregone conclusion? The HOH competition didn't finish before the show wrapped, but live feed folks know who won.

Plus, there's a surprise double eviction next week, so contestants can't even focus on Rachel alone and deal with turning on one another the week after. Can Rachel possibly survive a double elimination? Who else will get evicted.

If you're not watching the live feeds and don't want to know what happened in the 'Big Brother' house after the show ended, you probably should stop reading. If you're okay with spoiling Sunday's watching experience, join me for the HOH results.

It was an endurance comeptition, with the contestants sliding back and forth across a slippery surface, filling a giant glass ball with liquid soap until they can get a ping pong ball out of it.

It took until almost 11:30PM ET to declare a winner, but by then it was a foregone conclusion. Jeff became the first male HOH and creates a really interesting situation, as he and Jordan find themselves with power at a pivotal time in the game.

They were the wild cards in the house, but can they have the power to play their game, and if so what is that game now that Brendon is out? Keep working with Rachel, or throw her under the bus? Maybe they'll angle to get rid of both her and Daniele, leaving themselves the only veterans left.
