'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' Season 2: Editing Underway, Premiere Date Still Up in the Air
Bravo has finally decided the fate of Season 2 of 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' following the suicide of Russell Armstrong, estranged husband to star Taylor Armstrong: segments between the couple, who were separated at the time of his death, will be edited.Variety reports that the storyline regarding the Armstrongs' marital issues could significantly reduce or remove Russell's presence, although Bravo has not confirmed exactly what will be changed. However, as of right now the premiere date is still Sept. 5.
"Contrary to what is being reported, we have not made a decision to change our original premiere date but we are in the process of re-editing the show," Bravo president Frances Berwick told Variety.
While public interest remains high, there are real people involved in the delicate situation, which is why debates about delaying the series are ongoing, a source close to Bravo told AOL TV exclusively.
The other housewives, who are rumored to be leaking confirmations of delays to other news outlets, are not involved in discussions. But executive producers are keeping in touch with Taylor regarding the possible delay, AOL TV's source said.
With Sept. 5 fast approaching, a decision regarding the premiere date will be made "soon-ish."
One thing that we can confirm is true: As first reported by TMZ, Bravo will not be filming Russell Armstrong's funeral.
Season 2 of 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' is currently set to premiere on Sept. 5 at 9PM ET.
