TLC Schedules More 'Toddlers & Tiaras'

by Chris Harnick, posted Aug 22nd 2011 3:20PM
Toddlers & TiarasBecause you demanded it, TLC has added 4 new episodes of 'Toddlers and Tiaras' to its summer schedule that will carry the show into the fall.

The next batch of 'Toddlers' is still set for December, but in a press release TLC says popular demand has caused them to roll out four new episodes to tide the masses over.

Season 4 just ended, featuring pageant fixture Eden Wood. However, Wood has since retired from the pageant circuit, but not from child stardom.

Starting Wed., Aug. 24 at 10PM, viewers are in for a treat. What's ahead? A Dolly Parton costume, tween rivalries and so much sequin.

Check out the full set of episode descriptions below.

Aug. 24
'Gold Coast'
Vegas goes full glitz, and the pageant moms are betting on their own baby beauties to take the top title! Las Vegas native showgirl in training Desiree, 9, is serious about claiming her hometown title, and wavers between a future as a beauty queen or a showgirl. Kayla may only be three, but has the stage presence of a pageant pro, and her baby face is sure to melt the judges' hearts. Kailia, 4, has performing in her blood, as her Vegas performer parents groom her to be a star. Place your bets on who will win the Ultimate Grand Supreme!

Aug. 31
'Hearts & Crowns'
It's a full glitz showdown in Britsol, Virginia! Four-year-old Maddy follows in her mom's glitz pageant footsteps, and even competes in her mom's padded Dolly Parton outfit! Meanwhile, it's 10-year-old Queen who teaches her mom the do's and don'ts of high glitz. And Madison, 5, keeps her mom on her toes with her unpredictable behavior! Heart are pounding and jaws are dropping as the girls take the stage!

Sept. 7
'Precious Moments Pageant'
The pageant dads come out of the shadows for an unforgettable Dad-o-Rama full of drama! Toddlers dress up as their favorite celebrities for a high glitz pageant in Statesboro, Georgia! 2-year-old Chloe is a full-blown daddy's girl, and refuses to practice with mom. Dad even does the spray tans! Three-year-old Victoria has her costumes custom designed by her own pageant dad, while Brystol, 2, gets her competitive drive from her race-car driving father! But on pageant day, a run-in with a Big Bad Wolf threatens to end one of the dad's pageant dreams!

Sept. 14
'International Fresh Faces'
The rivalry is ON at IFF Missouri as pageant pros Sydney, 10, and Maddison, 11 go head to head for the Ultimate Grand Supreme! Both girls are so practiced, polished, and perfect in every routine that a win could be the difference in one tiny detail! Still learning the details is Paige, 6 who's newly put together routines will surely not put her in the running for a supreme title, unless of course she can charm them with her sweet personality and quirky smile.

TLC should learn that promoting this kind of shows is demeaning to kids and it promotes pedophilia. Why do the producers not see that? Pathetic parents who live out their dreams of fame to their children. Truly pathetic, wow.

I may be the minority but it is totally entertaining. Some parents push their kids into sports and are taught to be mean and hurt other kids to WIN......I just want to see more of the Lake Havasue twins with the orthodontic dad and the gold diggar mom. But mostly , We just cant get enough of "mackenzie, it rhymes with Lindsay".....she blows me away. Love her mom and auntie, so please bring her back. I am SO Happy Eden is gone, her mom (grandma) steals the show. I love love love the show......................Love "Dance Moms too".

If these kids...on all these kiddy shows...actually have talent, then let the parents step back, hire an above board talent agent, and let them take over the kid's careers. If the parents don't want to do this...then they've just admitted they're in it for their own interests. And the money! Most of these parents are guilty of child prostitution at the least...and we as the viewing public should let the sponsors of these programs know that we will not buy their products until they stop promoting this trailer trash type of crap!
