'Breaking In' Officially Resurrected by Fox for Season 2

by Jean Bentley, posted Aug 25th 2011 3:45PM
Breaking InNow it's official: Against all odds, 'Breaking In' has officially been renewed for a 13-episode second season on Fox.

"'Breaking In' is a creatively vibrant and wildly adventurous comedy," said Kevin Reilly, Fox's entertainment president, in a statement. "We are looking forward to bringing it back for a second season and continuing our relationship with this incredibly talented cast and these fantastic creators -- Adam Goldberg and Seth Gordon. We can't wait to see where they take these characters next year."

'Breaking In' follows an unorthodox security team headed by Christian Slater, and also stars Bret Harriso, Alphonso McAuley and Odette Annable. According to a report yesterday, although Annable has signed on as a new series regular on 'House,' she has a provision in her contract that allows her to return to 'Breaking In' in the event of a second season.

'Breaking In' joins an elite group of shows that returned from cancellation, which includes 'Family Guy,' 'Futurama,' 'Jericho' and '7th Heaven.' It'll be Slater's first show to last more than a season -- previously, 'The Forgotten' and 'My Own Worst Enemy' lasted one season each.

This isn't 'Breaking In''s first resurrection -- Fox originally passed on the pilot, but brought it back as a midseason show earlier this year. No official premiere date for Season 2 has been announced except that it will return in 2012.

I'm so glad. It's not very often that there's a show on tv that's unique and different from the rest. Breaking In is always funny and entertaining! Glad it's coming back.

I am always so busy and never have any time to sit down and watch a show like this. Also, I don't like many of these types of shows. However, when i saw the first episode of breaking in, i loved everything about, it is worth ot doing homework to watch.

Great show... Glad the fox brass pulled there heads outta there asses and decided to bring this show back. Networks have canceled way too many great shows over the years. Ie; point pleasant , dollhouse, tru calling, and a Tom of others. For example they left the show POINT PLEASANT open for a great second season but cancelled, y don't they get the cast back together and get writing. But they won't. UNBELIEVABLE!!
