Pastori's Makeover Has Everyone in Tears on 'Restaurant: Impossible' (VIDEO)

Savvidis Family, 'Restaurant: Impossible'The Savvidis family may have just gotten Robert Irvine to tears on 'Restaurant: Impossible' (Wed., 10PM ET on Food). After the show came to Pastori's Restaurant, which they own, to give it a makeover. The family has owned the restaurant for 25 years, and it's been a fixture in Ellington, CT for more than three decades.

With $10,000 and two days, Irvine and his team completely renovated the dining room and helped the family learn how to run a profitable and healthy business. They were so moved and overwhelmed by the experience, that when the kids were brought in, everyone was in tears.

"Why is everybody crying?" their daughter asked, with tears in her eyes. Hasn't she ever heard of happy tears before? They were seeing something they probably never imagined they'd be able to do. Certainly they didn't have ten grand lying around to spend on a two-day renovation.

Their problems also ran deeper than the restaurant itself. Friction between owner Bill and his son led to problems in the kitchen, as his son was the head chef. He'd recently been fired (which seemed to be a regular occurrence) and the food quality was on the decline. Irvine got everyone on the same page and moving in the same direction. Hopefully, they can stay on the path and keep Pastori's a pride of Ellington for decades yet to come.
