Regis Philbin Doesn't Like Geoff's Impression of Him on 'The Late Late Show' (VIDEO)

Geoff Peterson, 'The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson'Geoff Peterson is getting more and more advanced the longer he's on 'The Late Late Show' (Weeknights, 12:37AM ET on CBS). Remember when he first appeared with his stiff movements, robotic voice and limited vocabulary. He had only a few rote phrases he could repeat.

Now, he's doing celebrity impressions, and a pretty spot-on one of Regis Philbin. Unfortunately, Philbin didn't care for it at all.

"I thought he was having like an epileptic fit over here," Philbin said of Geoff's stammering impression. "I don't talk like that at all!"

He then tried to urge Craig Ferguson to get rid of the skeleton robot, but Ferguson equated Geoff's role on his show to Kelly Ripa's role as Regis' sidekick on 'Live.'

At this point, it's hard to imagine 'The Late Late Show' without Geoff by Craig's side ... well, off to the side by the door, but you know what we mean.

Really like Geoff. And yes, I can definitely agree with Regis. Kelly Ripa is beginning to look just like Geoff.

That's a"bit" that Regis is doing... it's all for the show. It was just a gig, and probably a little pre rehearsed..... Regis doesn;t REALLY CARE if the robot is imitating him for goodness sake... Why is this even news?

Oh, for Pete's sake. Although I'll agree with the post about the political incorrectness of the outdated term "fit," the rest of those commenting need to learn to recognize humor. I don't even watch Regis, but this is obviously just good-natured banter. He's not really offended, and is doing the same kind of "faux anger" I've seen him do on Letterman and in other cameo shots. The headline to the story doesn't help, but the reader doesn't HAVE to take it literally. Both Philbin and Ferguson are laughing, and expect the viewer to pick up those social cues. Lighten up!

Regis should be as intelligent and funny as Craig! He never was anything but a pompass ass as far as I am concerned and I think that Goeff getting his "goat" is hilarious!! Go Craig...go Goeff!!

I am shocked that someone of Regis Philbin's stature would make a comment as he did, "thought she was having an epeleptic fit..........people do not have "FITS" A person can be unfortunate and have "SEIZURES". There is a huge difference..shame on you Regis!

Who cares what Philbin thinks? He's a bore, a hack, who won't even help his disabled son. . .he literally thinks his S%$#T doesn't stink. . .when he asked for an ENORMOUS pay increase, and the network said no, he thought he would bully them, by anouncing his retirement - BACKFIRED - they said, "Good Idea" and went on the record he had retired at the end of the year, and they were already looking for his replacement. . .GOOD, he hasn't been funny with that SCREAMING act, for about 15 years. . .good riddance. . .!
