There's a hurricane coming -- have you heard? As Irene bears down on the East Coast, our best advice to you is to hunker down and watch these videos. And even if you're not in the storm's path, you probably shouldn't miss these epic TV moments.
This week's Top 5 features Letterman responding to a death threat from a jihadist, Craig Ferguson catching Kal Penn up on pop culture, the epic throwdown between Ronnie and the Situation on 'Jersey Shore,' Ashton Kutcher refusing to tell us how Charlie Harper dies and Danielle Staub and Jake Pavelka yelling at each other.
It's enough to keep us inside for days. Check out the videos after the jump and vote for your favorite in our weekly poll.
David Letterman returned from vacation in time to address the death threat he received from a radical jihadist website. After telling the audience they were all serving as his honorary human shields, he found a way to blame the whole thing on Leno. Blaming Leno makes everything more fun, doesn't it?
Kal Penn is making his TV return on 'How I Met Your Mother' after a two-year stint working in the Obama administration. Since he's been a little busy, Craig Ferguson caught him up on the last two years of pop culture knowledge. It included 'Jersey Shore,' Andy Dick getting sober, Charlie Sheen and the addition of his robot Geoff. He forgot the 'Real Housewives' and shows about vampires ...
Another Letterman sighting in the Top 5 this week, as he grilled Charlie Sheen's 'Two and a Half Men' replacement Ashton Kutcher about how Sheen's character Charlie Harper will die on the show. The only spoiler Kutcher would give is that it's a "death scenario." We're intrigued. (Not really -- we want details!)
Ah, onto the epic throwdown on 'Jersey Shore' between Ronnie and the Situation. We're not exactly sure why this started, but once Ronnie starts throwing beds around, watch out. The Situation looks like he's about to pay a heavy price for a season's worth of weird gossiping. MTV, in their infinite wisdom, split the fight into two episodes, so tune in next week to see what it looks like when spray tan mixes with blood.
We'll close out this week's Top 5 with two reality mainstays doing what they do best: Danielle Staub acting like an irrational crazy lady and Jake Pavelka, well, we're not sure why he's famous. On 'Famous Food,' Pavelka said he'd paint the bar, but didn't. So Staub told him to "grow a pair" and grabbed her crotch about four times while screaming. And this is why we don't read books anymore.
