by Laura Prudom, posted Aug 28th 2011 7:20PM
Basketball Wives LAMONDAY, AUGUST 29

'Basketball Wives LA' (8PM ET, VH1)
series premiere
A Los Angeles-based spin-off from the Miami original, this drama-filled reality show features the wives, girlfriends and exes of some of basketball's most prominent players, including Imani Showalter, Drayla Michele, Laura and Gloria Govan, Kimsha Artest, Malaysia Pargo and Jackie Christie.

'Hell's Kitchen' (9PM ET, Fox) new timeslot
The culinary challenge show switches timeslots as six chefs compete to make it into the final five.

'Hoarders' (9PM ET, A&E) season finale
A follow-up to check the progress of five people who were profiled last season, including a woman with a house full of cats, a man whose property was condemned, and a woman whose hoarding was so bad that her husband had to sleep in the car.

'RuPaul's Drag U' (9PM ET, Logo) season finale
Three '80s music-TV stars attempt to regain fame with the help of drag professors Shannel, Morgan McMichaels and Carmen Carrera. Former 'Wonder Woman' Lynda Carter is on guest-judging duties.

'Ridiculousness' (10PM ET)
'Death Valley' (10.30PM ET)
'Cuff'd' (11PM ET, all on MTV)
series premieres
MTV launches three new shows tonight -- two reality and one scripted. 'Ridiculousness' is somewhat like 'Jackass' meets 'Tosh .0' and features Rob Dyrdek's unique take on some of today's funniest amateur viral videos. 'Death Valley' is a scripted horror-comedy that follows the 'Undead Task Force' (UTF), a newly formed division of the LAPD, documentary-style, as they capture the vampires, werewolves and zombies that roam the streets of California's San Fernando Valley (and no, we're not talking Paris Hilton or Kim Kardashian). 'Cuff'd' is a documentary series that offers a fly-on-the-wall perspective of what happens on the ride to the precinct after young offenders are arrested.

'Pretty Little Liars' (8PM ET, ABC Family) summer finale
A vengeful "A" punishes the girls for talking to Dr. Sullivan, whose life is in danger unless the girls obey "A" by completing a series of tasks that will bring pain to themselves and their loved ones.

'WWE SmackDown' (8PM ET, Syfy) special night
This live edition of 'SuperSmackDown' comes from Wichita, featuring Randy Orton vs. Christian in a steel-cage match; John Cena; CM Punk.

'50 Documentaries to See Before You Die' (9PM ET, Current TV) series finale
The fifth and final part of this special series, hosted by Morgan Spurlock, naming 50 of the greatest documentaries of all time.

'Awkward' (11PM ET, MTV)
A mock DUI event is held at the school, and Jenna gets cast as the victim. To make matters worse (or way better?), Jake and Matty are both still vying for her attention.

'Royal Pains' (9PM ET, USA) summer finale
An art collector (Wilmer Valderrama) seeks Hank's help after he loses consciousness while viewing a coveted piece he's been pursuing for years, while Divya finds balancing her two jobs more than a little challenging.

'Hot in Cleveland' (10PM ET, TV Land) season finale
After Elka's wild bachelorette party, Melanie, Joy and Victoria wake up to a house in disarray, with no memory of the night before ... and the bride-to-be is missing.

'Nick News: What Happened? The Story of September 11, 2001' (9PM ET, Nickelodeon) special presentation
There are many documentaries and specials being aired to commemorate the 10th anniversary of September 11 in the coming weeks, but 'Nick News' takes a fairly unique angle in talking to kids (some of whom weren't born or were too young to understand what happened when the attacks took place) about their thoughts, questions and misconceptions regarding that day. The special includes interviews with adult experts such as Ari Fleischer, Former White House Press Secretary under George Bush; Juliette Kayyem, Former Assistant Secretary of Homeland Security; Tom Kean, Chairman of the 9/11 Commission, and Akbar Ahmed, American University's Chair of Islamic Studies.

Ugly Americans'Ugly Americans' (10.30PM ET, Comedy Central) season finale
'The Good Wife' star Christine Baranski lends her voice to the episode as Grimes' nagging mother who has returned from the dead, while Randall feels neglected because of Mark's busy work schedule and questions whether they should continue being roommates.

'Childrens Hospital' (11.59PM ET, Adult Swim) season finale
More quirky, inappropriate medical shenanigans ensue in the third season finale, but can they ever top that awesome 'Party Down' reunion? We've watched this clip at least 11 times and it never gets old.

'Man, Woman, Wild' (9PM ET, Discovery)
season premiere
Move over Bear Grylls -- the adventurous husband/wife team of Myke and Ruth Hawke are back to put their own survivalist skills to the test, all while dealing with the added drama of being married. When the couple's boat breaks down off the coast in the Bahamas, Ruth must resort to desperate measures as Myke fights dehydration.

'Torchwood: Miracle Day' (10PM ET, Starz)
As The Three Families plunge the world into a recession, the Torchwood team -- defeated, powerless, hunted -- must strike a bargain with the devil himself.

'Doctor Who' (9PM ET, BBC America)

Spookiness abounds when the Doctor makes a house call for a boy who is frightened of the monsters lurking in his bedroom closet.

'True Blood' (9PM ET, HBO)
In the season's penultimate episode, Sookie uses her faerie powers to protect Bill, Eric and Pam from Marnie's latest spell, Alcide confronts Debbie about her allegiances, and Jesus tries to break the link between Marnie and Antonia.

'The Good Wife' (9.30PM ET, CBS) special presentation
This half-hour special features interviews with the cast and creative team and a look back over the first two seasons -- a great catch-up for old and new viewers alike before the new season premieres on Sept. 25.
