Elisabetta Canalis on 'Dancing With the Stars': All About George Clooney's Actress Ex

Elisabetta CanalisMost Americans hadn't heard of Elisabetta Canalis until she started showing up to red carpets on the arm of George Clooney. Now, the Italian beauty is competing alongside stars like Ricki Lake and Ron Artest for the mirrorball trophy on Season 13 of 'Dancing With the Stars.'

Before meeting Clooney, Canalis was an actress, TV host and model in her native Italy who'd had minor roles in movies like 'Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo' and 'Virgin Territory.' After she started dating one of the world's most notorious bachelors, Canalis booked roles on TV shows like 'Burn Notice' and 'Leverage.'

Canalis and Clooney, who has a home in Lake Como, Italy, went public with their relationship at the Venice Film Festival in 2009, and dated until June of 2011. Now that their two-year relationship is done, Canalis is branching out on her own.

Elisabetta Canalis was one of the best dancer last night.I don't understand these judges....what about Bono....she cannot dance at all.

canalis is a wannabe who just wants to b famous with the popularity of a real cele she's a celeb parasite....she would never get anywhere in the USA just take a look theres famous people popping up everyday dream on ps anyway be4 anything she needs to study some english!!!!

...and why would Elisabetta need to branch out on her own by doing DWTS? She is an Italian "D" lister who speaks little English and why not doing the Italian version of DWTS (Ballando con le Stelle) where they are hiring "real" stars?.

I cannot really say, that I am excited about the contestants (how big is the Kardashian clan actually?), all the has beens and yesterdays news do not really rock the boat. At least there are no semi professional dancers in the group, so everybody has a chance. Hopefully it will still be fun to watch.
