'Millionaire Matchmaker' Takes On Awkward Groupon Copywriter (VIDEO)

Daniel Kibblesmith on 'Millionaire Matchmaker'Even with millionaires, dating can be a hit or miss experience, especially if you're as awkward as Daniel Kibblesmith. Kibblesmith, who earned his fortune as an early employee of Groupon, sought the help of Patti Stanger on 'Millionaire Matchmaker' (Mondays, 9PM on Bravo) to find a woman he could get along with. He didn't exactly find what he was looking for.

Kibblesmith expressed his worry about the whole thing the way any millionaire humor writer would, through puppets. His advice to himself for dealing with Stranger, spoken through a puppet with sunny-side-up eggs for eyes, was, "Don't contradict her because her fingernails are long and beautiful." Clearly this was going to take a lot of work, and that included Stranger telling Kibblesmith how to adjust himself in his pants.


The final date did not go well. Kibblesmith was hesitant, and the woman had to coax him along. "I don't have to be your girlfriend or anything but I can help you kinda loosen up and break out of your shell," she said. That led to two tepid attempts at kissing. Maybe he'd be more comfortable with the puppets.

Question: How does one become a Millionaire as a humour writer for Groupon? I understand that the good ol' days, successful DotComs used to make their early staff rich when going public. My guess would be that in his case, this figure only exists on paper, since Groupon just delayed it's IPO... another option: he sold some stocks on the secondary market.

I think he really didn't want to kiss her!! No I know he's nerdy, but still....she was so NOT for him. Maybe even a regular guy would have acted similar in his way. I think Patti was wrong in the "TYPE" of girls she put out there for him to choose from. COME ON...i'm sure she could have found some "Ugly Betty" types (not that ugly, but you know what i mean) We all know those types of girl friends. So they don't know how to dress...niether did he! So neither of them would care...get it....its about THEM not making THEM conform to YOUR style. That was what was wrong! Trying to make him into one of US...her job is to "MATCH" him. JMHO.

The guy is a nerd and geek... Why he is on her show.. Hes uneasy at romantic moments and it shows . BUT its okay... He is what he is... Not all males as I have to say it are Alan Rickman's and Antonio Banderes... His talents are else where...
