'Desperate Housewives' Season 8 Sneak Peek (VIDEO)

by Jean Bentley, posted Sep 4th 2011 1:00PM
Desperate HousewivesWhen 'Desperate Housewives' premieres later this month, the women of Wisteria Lane are back to doing what they love to do best -- keep secrets.

In this first clip of the eighth and final season premiere -- ABC announced at the Television Critics Association summer conference that the upcoming season will be the drama's last -- we find the ladies banding together to bury the body of Gaby's evil stepfather, the man Carlos killed in self-defense at the end of last season.

In true 'DH' fashion, it's more hilarious than horrifying.

'Desperate Housewives' premieres Sun., Sept. 25 at 9PM ET on ABC.

They're calling it quits probably two years too late.

Is DH being canceled or are they going out while they still have an audience? I love it.

They are being cancelled. Blame ABC for trying to turn their network into a slew of all-reality all the time programming! Millions are boycottign ABC for these horrible programming decisions. Please join with us!

That Once Upon A Time show is doomed before it even starts. I won't watch it. Seems to be stupid and what about Pan Am, another loser.

I don't know if it is worth getting involved or into any show on ABC - the odds are good it will be cancelled soon. At least Desperate Housewives had some seasons. Many new shows are gone in a season or maybe two if they are lucky now.

I will miss Desperate Housewives. They were zany characters, full of compassion, not just eye candy. They were totally believable. Often your imagination was stretched, but the writer, Mark Cherry, is fantastic!

The ideal ending for this series, in my opinion, would borrow from the old "Dallas" series.
The whole thing has been a dream of one of the main characters. In the final episode she awakes, and we see that Magnolia Lane is a decrepit, low-income street with browned out lawns and ramshackle homes with fifteen year old cars in the cracked driveways. The primary characters are over-weight women with multiple snot-nosed children and out-of-work husbands who drink too much.
