Julie Chen Teases the New Women of 'The Talk' on 'Late Late Show' (VIDEO)
You can always tell when Julie Chen is on 'The Late Late Show' (Weeknights, 12:37AM ET on CBS), because Craig Ferguson is on his best behavior. After all, her husband is Les Moonves, the head of the network. He actually asked her about the new season of 'The Talk,' which has been getting a lot of press due to the cast shake-up. Out are Holly Robinson Peete and Leah Remini. In is Sheryl Underwood as a regular co-host.
"We just announced that joining us at the desk will be Molly Shannon from 'Saturday Night Live.'" Chen said, to Ferguson's delight. Shannon has been tapped as a guest co-host for the month of September.
While no permanent second co-host has yet been announced, fans can also look forward to Kris Jenner filling in for Sharon Osbourne at the start of the season for a little while. According to the show's Wiki page, Marlee Matlin is in talks to possibly fill that second regular spot in the near future.
But for now, 'The Talk' returns tomorrow on CBS at 2PM ET, where Chen promises Underwood will share her fascinating story. Always the professional, that Chen, turning a tease into a plug.
