Catelynn's Too Insecure to Let Tyler Go Clubbing on 'Teen Mom' (VIDEO)

Catelynn, 'Teen Mom'After a hard day of being teen parents, who wouldn't want to go out clubbing? That's what Tyler was thinking, though Catelynn had a very different opinion of the matter on 'Teen Mom' (Tue., 10PM ET on MTV).

She calls it being "such a jealous person," but we're gonna back Tyler on this one. Jealousy is a factor, yes, but it's a jealousy created by her massive insecurities.

When she starts to explain it, it starts off about how she doesn't want other girls dancing with him, but quickly shifts to how they're so much thinner than her and haven't had babies. See, it's all about Catelynn, really.

Even though she accuses him of not letting her talk, Tyler stayed quiet through this whole speech, though he did finally say, "I'm not gonna allow your insecurities to hold me back."

Now, rather than acknowledge that her insecurities are trying to hold him back and maybe she should trust him a little bit more and get over herself, Catelynn quickly escalated the discussion to their entire relationship now not working because he doesn't care how she feels.

After all, he should totally cater to her insecurities, right?

A classic example of kids trying to be adults way too soon . .. This is the time in their lives when they should be having fun with very few worries .. They have all their lives to be adults . It's really sad ..

I think that Teen Mom is good for teen's to see how difficult life can be if they have kids before they are able to support them and have to rely on their parents or our $$'s to raise their kids. The bad thing is, is they are also showing how cool everything is. For Catelynn and Tyler, yes they need to grow up. They aren't like the other moms on here and kept their kid, they made the right choice and gave her up for adoption so she can have a better life. I think some of the comments on here are very harsh for these "kids". Yes, they are "kids". They are definitely very dramatic and who knows.......maybe they'll stay together and grow up together or they will separate and both will eventually grow up. I was definitely raised very differently from what is happening on TV and I'm sure that is exactly what we are seeing is just TV........they cut and edit and make things look worse than they actually are. They all need to grow up......don't just harp on Catelynn and say she is holding Tyler back when he is doing the same to her!

These "kids" need to let go and live a little. They gave up a child for adoption--which was the right thing for them to do but they are too young to try and make it work between the two of them. They argue too much. They need to take a break and find out what they really want. She is insecure and jealous and is holding him back. Too young for so much drama.

This is sad on so many different levels, they really did do the right thing in giving up that baby for adoption, and seeing what type of backgrounds they both come from it is a wonder they are both not crack heads, they need to be in therapy, and go their seperate ways, they are too young to be living together, they gave up that baby to give her a chance, but stay in contact thru their lawyer, now this is just my opnion, that is WRONG, she is still clinging to the hope that one day they will be a family, that baby has a family and it is NOT Catelyn and Tyler,they are trying to build a relationship on what WAS, not what IS, they are so immature, and it is a shame that Catelyn's Mother is just trailer park trash, as is Tyler's Dad, they have no positive role models in their lives to learn from.

Funny, I think Catelynn and Tyler are the most advanced kids on the show. I see true love there even though it probably won't last because of their age. They are trying hard to overcome their awful backgrounds by working and going to school. I can understand Tyler wanting to go out and have some fun with his friends since for the past 2 years they have dealt with such adult matters. Tyler invited Cate and she eventually did go out with all and had a really great time. There is hope for all and they do go to therapy when a problem arises - better than most of us do! I wish them well and a future together.

I have tried to understand the importance of this show being aired? Is it to show the world that american parents cannot control their children? that these are the future leaders? how America is really in deep ****? can you imagine a Catlyn as a city council member? Tyler should move on and better himself, he has the drive and will do become a better person. She is trash in the highest degree.

Teenagers have minds of their own and are not infants and to insinuate that a daughter getting pregnant or a son fathering a child as a teenager is a clear sign that they're parents couldn't "control" them is just way too simplistic, sorry. Granted this show and '16 & Pregnant' have no shortage of parents, both teens and adults, who never should have conceived children, but they've also highlighted the lives of many decent, caring folks and sometimes you can teach all you want, others simply don't listen. Catelynn is often naive and overly whimsical like many teenagers, but really, going as far as to deem her "trash in the highest degree" is a shameful and erroneous description on your part that would call into question your ability to analyze ANYTHING if that's how you honestly feel after viewing multiple episodes of the show. As for the fairly odd city council hypothetical, most Americans are not competent or informed enough to even intelligently VOTE on local issues much less serve in the capacity of bona fide community leaders, so I'm not sure where you were going with that as Catelynn is no more out of her depth in that scenario than most would be.

So sad you judge her as trash. Children learn what they live. At least she knows her mother is nuts and is trying to get away from that life. Tyler is from similar background, have you seen his dad? Always in and out of jail or prison. Tyler wants not to be like his dad even though they love each other. These kids are trying, give them a chance.

She should work on herself and he is not growing up in the right mature way. We all know clubbing is a way to meet people aka life mates. Tyler is looking at Catelynn in a different way now. He's unsure if he wants her "forever".
Catelynn leave and get help. Go on with your life. Tyler is not what you need!

That so many marriages initially began with two drunk people in some too-loud, degenerate nightclub is likely a not insignificant reason we live in the shallow society we do, but I suppose that's another subject for another time.

I think there should be a law that when girls start their period that it be mandatory to have birth control implants until they show proof of marriage. It would help eliminate teen pregnancy and all tax payers wouldn't have to pay to help raise these children on welfare. Grant it, it wouldn't stop the STD's but if you're stupid enough to have sex without protection they deserve what comes to them but bringing a child into the world is a different story.

Catelynn IS holding Tyler back in MANY ways! He will NEVER grow because Catelynn ALWAYS wants them to be on the same "wave length" with EVERYTHING! She cries about everything. Tyler isn't in Highschool with me anymore--WAA WAA. Tyler is in college now--WAA WAA. Our schedules are so different, Tyler get to spend a lot more time with our friends--WAA WAA! Grow up Catelynn, and let Tyler become his own person and maybe, just maybe he won't follow in the footsteps of his father and your mother! Maybe the reason everyone leaves you is because you drive them to leave! Suck it up and make something of yourself!
