A fan recently gave Madonna a bouquet of hydrangeas, and she was caught on tape saying shortly thereafter, "I absolutely loathe hydrangeas. He obviously doesn't know that." Kathie Lee Gifford said Wednesday morning on 'Today' (7AM ET on NBC) that while she may sound ungrateful, Madonna pales in comparison to Hoda Kotb.

Kathie Lee pointed to an incident with a painting as an example. "I gave you a very big painting you promptly stuck in a closet," Gifford said to Kotb. "[I took] it to her New York apartment as a housewarming gift because she loves New Orleans, and thought she loved me -- she promptly sticks it in a closet someplace and throws up some, I don't know, what did you put on the wall there? A poster?"

Kotb said the painting was beautiful and huge, but that her apartment isn't that big. Gifford countered by saying it would have fit over Kotb's sofa, and that she wanted the painting back because she has friends who would appreciate it. That seemed completely fine with Hoda.
