'Big Brother': Eviction, Plus Shelly Faces Jeff in Jury House (VIDEO)
It was a packed hour of 'Big Brother' (Wed., 8PM ET on CBS) on a special Wednesday eviction episode. Thursday night brings yet another eviction, in anticipation of next Wednesday's live finale, so from her on out, every moment counts.!!SPOILER ALERT!!
When we last left the Houseguests, Rachel had secured HOH and given the power back to the veterans. While Julie Chen might think this is "against all odds," that Pandora's Box the producers concocted had a lot to do with it, though Porsche certainly didn't have to open it.
The drama wasn't limited to the Big Brother house, as Shelly arrived at the Jury House and Jeff had some choice words for her. He never seemed to openly address his assertion that she had no chance of going to the final two with him or Jordan, which is obvious. That would have defeated his self-righteous anger.
Whether you agree with Shelly's move or not, she was clearly going to have to break up that couple at some point to have any chance of winning the game, and getting rid of Jeff is the no-brainer. Jordan simply cannot win challenges.
After winning HOH, Rachel followed expectations and put Porsche and Kalia up for elimination. Then, in the POV competition, Adam legitimately won, narrowly defeating a clearly shattered Porsche. But she wasn't nearly as shattered as Kalia.
How funny was it when Rachel was being smug about Kalia crying after losing a competition. How many competition losses have lead to Rachel crying? Remember her breakdown in the bushes?
Regardless, Adam was so firmly in the pockets of the veterans that he missed an opportunity to eliminate them and push the newbies to the end of the game. He kept the nominations the same and Rachel got to give the deciding vote to evict Kalia right to her face.
Then, in the HOH competition, the contestants had to remember messages the fortune teller said throughout the night, interrupting their sleep. This was the second memory-based competition in a row, and Adam knows how to pay attention. All those '90210' details he can recall were a hint that this must be his special power.
So Adam took HOH and must make quick decisions. Does he put up the veterans against one another and try to keep Porsche safe, or does he put her up against Jordan as a pawn? Whatever he decides, the POV will be more critical than ever as the winner of that will dictate not only who sits on the seat, but may well cast the only vote to evict.
What's Adam's best move at this point? His safest bet might be to put up Porsche and Jordan and hope Porsche can take herself off the block and put Rachel in her place. By not picking Rachel, there's a chance she won't fight quite as hard in the competition, giving Porsche a better chance.
But it really comes down to the POV winner, so Adam will likely do whatever the vets want him to do. If everything goes their way, then Rachel is surely to win the season. If she makes it to the end against Adam or Jordan, she should win the whole thing.
And since everyone believes Porsche didn't start playing until Day 55, Rachel would probably beat her in a vote as well. Depends who's there and how the next week goes, I guess. Tomorrow will tell us a lot.
