Chris Colfer admitted to becoming quite deft at avoiding the question about what's going on with his character on 'Glee.' He even tried to do it again when Jay Leno asked him the question on 'The Tonight Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on NBC), but it didn't work out so well.

"You guys were leaving, and then no you're getting a TV spinoff, and then you're staying. So what's happening?" Leno asked.

"The truth is people forget that 'Glee' is still a TV show," Colfer said, immediately launching into a deflection from the point. He stayed on this topic for awhile. "We just have to survive Season 3 first before we can worry about it," he said, and then immediately dropped the teaser, "Little did I know that I would be in the hospital, literally the first week back filming."

Oh, that's good. You're very good, Mr. Colfer. But not good enough. Leno didn't even nibble on that morsel.

"You didn't answer the question," he said. "Are you staying or leaving?"

Finally, backed into a corner -- or maybe he didn't even realize he hadn't answered it -- Colfer said, "No, no, I'm staying."

Now, what was that about a hospital?
