In their personal lives, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi make an excellent team. Now, the married couple is about to find out how well they can work together.

According to Deadline, NBC has won a bidding war for a scripted comedy pilot, produced by DeGeneres and starring de Rossi, about "two dueling sisters."

The currently unnamed, multi-camera show will be written by former 'Samantha Who' creator Don Todd and marks the return to scripted TV comedy for both talents.

De Rossi starred as Lindsay Bluthe on the beloved ensemble 'Arrested Development' and more recently, ABCs' 'Better Off Ted.'

Before her current gig as a daytime talkshow host, Degeneres's self-titled sitcoms 'Ellen,' which ran from 1994-1998 on ABC, and 'The Ellen Show' introduced viewers to her unique brand of observational humor.

This is going to be the best show ever on television. I can't wait until it starts. Ellen is the best comedian and always makes me laugh and smile everyday. She and Portia make a beautiful couple and this ought to be fun. Can't wait! Its about time Portia gets back into show business on television. Yay for Ellen and Portia!

I think it's fantastic that Ellen DeGeneres and her wife Portia are teaming up to star in and executive produce a new sitcom
to air on NBC. It's about time Portia was back on series television.

Was Ellen's talk show cancelled? That is not a bad thing, she had a very long run and shows get stale.
