Ruth England wasn't born and bred in the wild, which is half the charm of watching her on 'Man, Woman, Wild' (Fri., 9PM ET on Discovery). While her husband, Mykel Hawke, is trained and completely in his element in the wild, England is experiencing new things with every trip.

This time around it was the notion of eating an armadillo killed in a wildfire.

"I've gotta gut a singed half-cooked armadillo with burst guts that may or may not have leprosy," she lamented as she went about trying to figure out how to get to the edible parts.

Her horror was so sincere as she began to peel back the shell and see what was underneath. In the end, though, she hunkered down and had a hunk of armadillo, declaring it actually quite good. "She'll be a Southern girl before long," Mykel said with pride.
