Christina Applegate Keeps Interrupting DJ Pauly D's Interview (VIDEO)

Usually, when the first guest slides down to the couch on 'The Tonight Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on NBC) to make room for the next guest, they keep to themselves. They may occasionally chime in with some banter, but Pauly D wasn't prepared for Christina Applegate.

While Jay Leno was talking to the 'Jersey Shore' star about working an event for Kim Kardashian, he kept insinuating that Kim and Pauly had a relationship that went beyond professional.

"Now is that still going on with the new husband?" Leno asked, implying a sexual relationship.

"She's my friend. She's a really cool girl; the whole family," Pauly said, and then Applegate's voice could be heard abruptly saying, "Yeah, right."

She apologized for the sudden intrusion, but that didn't stop her from doing it again when the topic switched to Pauly's work for Britney Spears. In particular it was a picture Leno showed of Spears on Pauly's shoulders.

"That is Britney Spears giving me a lap dance," Pauly said of the photo. "I love saying that."

"She's not in your lap, though," Applegate responded immediately, which was what we were all thinking. Why would you love saying something that makes no sense, unless Pauly is trying to say that his lap is on his shoulders.

It was hilarious every time she chimed in -- throwing Pauly's rhythm off completely -- and then immediately apologized, as if she'd had a momentary lapse of self-control.
