As 'Kate Plus 8' Ends, Kate Sees More TV In Her Family's Future (VIDEO)

Kate Gosselin, 'Kate Plus 8' series finaleIt was the end of an era for Kate Gosselin as the series finale of 'Kate Plus 8' (Mon., 9PM ET on TLC) marked the end of a crazy ride in the spotlight. Gosselin first shot to stardom alongside her husband Jon and their brood of 8 children when 'Jon & Kate Plus 8' premiered in 2007.

By 2009, the pair were on the cover of every tabloid magazine in the country, and their Season 5 premiere netted a record 9.8 million viewers.

But things changed dramatically after that, as the couple split and Jon was dropped from the show. Since then, ratings have declined steadily until TLC pulled the plug after 150 episodes.

In the series finale, Gosselin reflected on her life in the spotlight, and on what the future might hold. No surprises, but she wants to continue being a television celebrity, and continue having her children on television.

Of her kids, Gosselin said, "I refuse to pull them out of their house. I refuse to pull them out of their school, so I better figure something out to keep them there." In other words, Gosselin needs to find another way to bring in income enough to sustain the family's current lifestyle.

Do you think the Gosselins will land somewhere else on television, or that Kate will find a new network to hang her hat? TLC has already indicated interest in checking back in with the family from time to time like they are the Roloff family from 'Little People, Big World,' but that certainly won't pay the bills.

She could have more children. We'd have to watch that train wreck.

Kate is insuffrable. She uses her children so she can stay in the limelight. Now that her show has been cancelled, you mark my words, she will continue to do whatever it takes to stay in the spotlight, all while trying to justify that it's for her kids.

I feel soooo bad for those children. Having Kate as a role model and mother is without question screwing them up. I have not watched a show in so long but last night my daughter and I started to watch the RV trip with her nanny and best friend and the adults thought nothing of constantly fighting in front of the kids and the rafting trip really brought out her horrible personality, i was so glad that the guide did not take her crap. OH BOY i also could not believe that Cara is now acting just like maddy (sorry to say but I cannot stand that child). I hope she will focus on being a better parent not a celebrity, Sadly that is NOT going to happen.
