Al Gore, 'The Colbert Report'Al Gore got so excited talking about his new '24 Hours of Reality' initiative with Current TV, that he must have forgotten where he was for a moment on 'The Colbert Report' (Weeknights, 11:30PM ET on Comedy Central).

He and Stephen Colbert were talking about the program, which culminates in an hour broadcast on Current TV on September 15 at 8PM ET, when Colbert asked about Keith Olbermann, who's now a broadcaster on the network.

"I'm worried about him," Colbert said. "He scares me. Is he still yelling a lot?"

"He scares Fox News and he scares your character, absolutely, as he should," Gore said to momentary silence by Colbert.

"My character?" he finally replied. "What the hell are you talking about, sir?"

Gore simply lost it, apologizing amid gales of laughter, while Colbert kept trying to figure out what he was talking about. It was awkward to break the fourth wall a bit like that, but the moment was so genuinely funny, we can see why they kept it in the show.

Hilarious. I loved their rapport.
The fact that he kept up with Steven during the interview was brilliant.
