Colbert and Fallon Realize Their 'Best Friends for Six Months' Pact is Over (VIDEO)

Jimmy Fallon, 'The Colbert Report'Somebody wasn't paying attention to the calendar. How else could you explain 12 days passing before Jimmy Fallon and Stephen Colbert realized that their 'Best Friends for Six Months' pact had expired. But it all came to light on 'The Colbert Report' (Weeknights, 11:30PM ET on Comedy Central).

Fallon showed up, and the two reminisced about the good times they've had as best friends, before realizing that they'd surpassed the six-month time limit set on their friendship. And so, they finally let loose with how much they hate one another, deciding they were now eternal enemies ... for six months.

As much fun as 'Best Friends' has been, we can't wait to see what they cook up for 'Enemies.' But before Colbert even had time to mourn the loss of his best friend, someone else was waiting in the wings.

"Do you need a best friend?" Anderson Cooper asked from the audience. But it was too soon, much too soon.
