Judges Like Color, But Nothing Else About 'Out' Style on 'Project Runway' (VIDEO)

'Project Runway'If you're a fashion designer, we suspect you wouldn't be too happy to hear a critique that says, "We like the pink color of your dress, but that's all." Nevertheless, that's what the eliminated designer heard this week on 'Project Runway' (Thu., 9PM ET on Lifetime).

The remaining contestants were tasked with designing for real women this week, though they were briefly psyched-out when they first saw the male counterparts for their real woman. They thought they were going to have to design for a man.

For Olivier, the reality might have turned out worse when he discovered that his "real woman" had DD breasts. Earlier, when he thought he was going to be designing for the men, he lamented that he might have to deal with fat. Clearly, he likes his models only one way and that's skinny and flat-chested. It's great to see he's so flexible.

Bert's struggle was similar in that he had boobs to deal with, too, but more specifically he had her husband wanting her to flaunt them constantly. If he'd had his way, the dress would have probably been topless. Luckily, he didn't.

In the end, though, it came down to a retro-cheerleader and voluminous pockets. Anthony Ryan's look was a little too busy, but at least it fit his model better than what Bryce put together. In fact, the color was the only thing the judges liked, and that wasn't enough to keep him in the competition.

OK we all know these early shows are meanbt to weed out the mean girls (maybe keep one) so it is nice to see the bottomouters being the big ego folks. Bert seems destined to fall into the too-old-for-now group. But I like him. I like seeing fashions for real porportions. The show if finaly getting some momentum. And is anyone surprised the one who says she cannot sew is still here?

The girl can design clothes, that's for sure, but to say I'm surprised that Anya is still there would be an understatement. Given the fact that she had help (as in others helping her sew her original submissions to get on the program) I didn't think she should have been there in the first place! On top of that,
the producers insist on having a little segment each week in which she complains she's soooo far behind in her sewing (but somehow manages to get done in plenty of time) is wearing thin on me too.

This cycle is the worst one yet because it's certainly not the program I fell in love with back in Season 1 and it's devolved into an even more contrived production than last year. That's a very sad state of affairs, imho.
