Stacy Francis Proves It's Never Too Late for Dreams on 'The X Factor' (VIDEO)

Stacy Francis, 'The X Factor'Already an international sensation, Simon Cowell finally managed to bring 'The X Factor' (Wed., 8PM ET on FOX) stateside, and while it's expected to get massive ratings for this premiere, featuring the returns of Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul together, along with L.A. Reid, Nicole Scherzinger and ever-so-briefly Cheryl Cole.

But as much as Cowell might wish it weren't so, it's about the contestants they manage to find. And while Chris Rene, who was 70 days sober and trying to turn his life around, blew everyone away with a heartfelt original performance, it was another contestant who perhaps best personified what makes 'The X Factor' different.

Stacy Francis is a 42-year old mother who's come out of an abusive relationship. For years she's been told she's not talented enough and too old to make it as a singer. And that's where 'The X Factor' comes in.

With no upper age limit for contestants the show is reminding us that there is no expiration date on talent and it's never too late to make your dreams come true. Francis was stunned by the audience reception -- another different twist, giving contestants instant exposure to singing in front of large crowds.

It seemed to take a bit too long to show us the potential of this new format, though we did get to see 13-year old Rachel Crow right away. But they barely touched on groups, and spent a little too long on backstories. We get that the story is important, but on this premiere, we needed to believe they were finding amazing talent, and a lot of it!

Stacy Francis is from the female group EX-Girlfriend they had a couple of hits. The show is a fake. What a shame.

You should research your stories better and not just copy what the press release feeds you. Stacy Francis has been an accomplished singer for decades. She performed Footloose on Broadway for 2 years and a few other big Broadway shows. She's also been active in Hollywood for the past 10 years.

CAN SOMEONE WHY THEY LET THAT FREAK WHO DROPPED HIS PANTS CONTINUE? THEY SHOULD HAVE HAD SECURITY GRAB HIM AND DRAG THIS LOW LIFE SCUMBAG OFF STAGE,THEN HAVE THE POLICE ARREST HIM FOR EXPOSING HIMSELF IN PUBLIC. I FELT BAD FOR THE CHILDREN WHO WERE IN THE AUDIENCE.

This show is Brutally Bad! its like watching a pepsi commercial, followed by wannabees with no talent, mixed in with ver few good performers! What happenned simon why did you turn against idol? this show will not last!

I have been waiting a long time for the x factor to come on and of course Simon. I thought it was wonderful it makes AI look like babies.

I want to know why there was no security on that show. The man that dropped his pants while singing (if that's what you want to call it) was allowed to continue for his full time on stage, while Paula gets sick (what's wrong Paula??? never seen one before?) and people are walking out with their children!! which they should not have had to do. Why was he not taken off the stage immediately.???? Ruined the entire show for me! If that's the way it's going to be, then if someone strips on stage are they going to allow it??? Not at all sure I want to watch this show.

I didn't watch the show last night. I taped it and am now watching it. I read your post before I saw that idiot and thought you were just overexaggerating for effect but you're right. He was disgusting. and the fact that they let him continue is ridiculous. I wouldn't give up on the show just yet. Maybe they'll get enough negative responses that they'll clean their act up.
