Adrian Pasdar, Michael Imperioli Join HBO's '40,' Billy Zane Books 'Playboy Club' and More TV Casting News

Adrian Pasdar, Michael ImperioliAdrian Pasdar and Michael Imperioli have joined the cast of Doug Ellin's '40.'

The comedy about middle-aged men also stars Ed Burns and Michael Rapaport.

The single-camera comedy follows four lifelong friends as they navigate their 40s. Burns plays a married man and father who used to well-off, but hasn't worked in almost a year. According to Deadline, Rapaport's character is a married "neurotic everyman." 'Sopranos' veteran Imperioli plays a single man who isn't shy about self-promoting and Pasdar will play a Wall Street millionaire.

Susan Misner will play Burns' wife.

In other casting news ...

'Dexter' and 'True Blood' veteran Courtney Ford will guest star on 'The Big Bang Theory.' Ford will play Alice, an artsy comic book lover. [TVLine]

Billy Zane is heading to 'The Playboy Club.' Zane will play Oscar Bianchi, brother of the mob boss Maureen and Nick killed in the first episode. He'll appear in the sixth episode. [TV Guide]

Catherine Dent will recur on 'The Mentalist.' Dent will play FBI Agent Susan Darcy beginning in a November episode. [EW]

'Cougar Town' has cast Susan Blakely as Claire, Ellie's mom. Look for the character to charm the gang, but it might not last that long. [TVLine]

'CSI: NY' will be home to a 'Once and Again' reunion. Jeffrey Nordling will reunite with Sela Ward over a two-episode arc set to air in November. Nordling will play a US Senator. [EW]

'Rescue Me' actor Michael Zegen will recur on 'The Walking Dead.' Zegen will play Randall, a new character not included in the comics. [EW]

'Party Down' star Ken Marino will guest star on 'Whitney.' He'll play the older brother of Chris D'Elia's character. [THR]
