Nobody is happier for Melissa McCarthy's Emmy win for Lead Actress in a Comedy than her 'Mike & Molly' co-star Billy Gardell. He heaped praise on her as an actress and as a person on 'The Late Late Show' (Weeknights, 12:37AM ET on CBS).

"I thought her speech when she won the Emmy was incredibly genuine, and it's a real reflection of who she is," Gardell said.

But when Craig Ferguson asked if he feared this could impact their relationship, Gardell was confident it won't. "She hasn't talked to me since she won it," he joked. "I'm sure she's just busy."

In reality, though, Gardell said nothing but kind things about what a wonderful woman she is and what a gracious winner she was. When musing about how different it would have been had he won, he said, "I would have mounted it on the hood of my car."

Who's to say for sure that McCarthy hasn't done just that?
