We suspect that David Letterman may have been a little distracted by Sofia Vergara when she came on 'Late Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on CBS). She is a stunning woman, so it's understandable, but it was funny to watch as he could barely string a sentence together.

First, he mispronounced her first name in introducing her, though she seemed to think anything that sounds like Sofia is good enough for her.

But then when he went to ask how her Emmy night went, he said, "'The Family Show' did great with your Emmy awards, didn't it?"

Vergara corrected him on the name of her show, and for the second time in as many minutes he was asking, "What did I say?" Yes, she's beautiful, but try to keep your focus at least a little bit. We hate to imagine how the interview would have gone if she'd been wearing a low-cut top.
