'Dancing With the Stars' Week 2 Elimination (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 27th 2011 11:15PM
Lacey Schwimmer & Chaz Bono'It's only the second week of the competition, and we may have our first surprise elimination on 'Dancing With the Stars' (Tue., 9PM ET on ABC). Though it may also be revealing an interesting, but perhaps not unexpected, bias playing out this season.

!!SPOILER ALERT!!

Last week, viewer votes lined up easily with judges scoring in eliminating Ron Artest and new professional dancer Peta Murgatroyd. This week, though, America didn't agree with the judges. In fact, the eliminated dancer had one of the higher scores of the night.

It could be a matter of the celebrity not being established enough for viewers to latch onto, or it could be that the professional dancer suffers the same problem. In its 13th season now, 'DWTS' has made celebrities out of these professional dancers, so it's possible fans are as much rooting and voting for them as they are the celebrities.

Elisabetta Canalis & Valentin Chmerkovskiy, 'Dancing With the Stars' eliminationIt could definitely be a factor as to why Elisabetta Canalis was eliminated, despite scoring a 21 from the judges. She was partnered with new professional dancer Valentine Chmerkovskiy, competing this season alongside his brother Maksim.

Four couples scored lower than them, with Chaz Bono and Lacey Schwimmer netting only 17 points. Or perhaps it is indicative of the advantages of experience for the pros on this show. They know how to choreograph a performance that will impress the judges, and they can adapt quickly to new celebrity partners.

Does that mean we need to start worrying about the last remaining newbie among the professional dancers this season? Considering Tristan McManus is partnered with the polarizing Nancy Grace, it may be too soon to tell.

here we go again another fiasco with dwts its bad enough they have had voting problems with the show and i am sure cher had the friends and chaz gay friends jam the lines to create another ruined season there is no way chaz should be on the show after the last two dances he/she/it is like a dancing hippo there graceful in the water but on the dance floor they dont look so good and to have the lowest scores and still be on the show speaks for the show and it has relly gone down hill since its voting system is so out of tune with the show its riduculis and a very good couple was sent home and a lousy one gets to stay because of outside influnce of manipulating votes with a campaighn like tatics has ruined the show and as long bring these wackos on to the show this problem will come up again and again I beleive DWTS is on the way out because this is third or four show that talent didnt win it voting fraud destroyed who got to the final!

The term "bull-dyke" does not adequately describe Chaz Bono, "elephant-dyke" & "whale-dyke" better fit the bill.

Chaz told Oprah that she had sex with a few guys before she turned carpet-licker. Those poor guys will need counseling the rest of their lives.

Everyone has an opinion and the ability to kick when a fellow is down...If it was you would you not want support or a boatload of people keeping up the hate...I would like the haters to have a shot and surpass the voting system you say is a failure...
