NBC to Stream 'Up All Night' and 'Whitney' Before Network Air

by Chris Harnick, posted Sep 27th 2011 12:30PM
Up all NightNBC will stream 'Up All Night' and 'Whitney' before they hit the network.

In a new partnership with Yahoo, this week's new episodes of 'Up All Night' and 'Whitney' will debut online Tues., Sept. 27.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, previous episodes of both series will also be streamed on Yahoo.

This follows a similar strategy used by other networks. Fox released the first episode of 'New Girl' on iTunes, Hulu, Fox On-Demand, and on star Zooey Deschanel's blog HelloGiggles.com. Despite the widespread viewing, 'New Girl' debuted to solid numbers, even doing better than its lead-in 'Glee.'

The CW released 'Hart of Dixie' and 'Secret Circle' early on iTunes.

New episodes of 'Up All Night' air Wednesdays at 8PM ET and 'Whitney' airs 9:30PM ET on Thursdays, both on NBC.

Whitney is dead in the water. Up All Night might last to Christmas.

Yup. Whitney is so bad its confusing, especially when you look at a calender and it says 2011. It's like everyone involved doesn't know what's going on with modern television.
