Amy Brenneman, who plays Violet Turner on ABC's 'Private Practice,' stopped by 'The Talk' (weekdays, syndicated on CBS) to preview tonight's season premiere. When guest co-host Aisha Tyler ran through all the recent drama in Violet's life -- pregnancy, kidnapping and calling off a wedding -- Brenneman told the panel that this season, Violet "is the stable force ... in her own crazy, neurotic way." Violet's husband Pete, played by Tim Daly, had a heart attack at the end of last season and Brenneman said that was her character's "come to Jesus moment."
But Brenneman has more going on in her life than just acting. When Julie Chen asked her what was on her Bucket List and what she's already crossed off, Brenneman shared that she had met the Dalai Llama. She was emceeing an event, and when she met him, he was drinking coffee and reading the New York Times. "I thought, 'That's what I do. I'm enlightened!'"
As for the things still left on her list, she mentioned travel and the desire to write a book, before adding, "I don't just want to meet, but I want to be best friends with Michelle Obama."
