'Sperm Donor' Tells His Fiance He May Have 70 Biological Children (VIDEO)

by Alex Moaba, posted Sep 29th 2011 10:10AM

A Style Network special called 'Sperm Donor' that follows the life of 'Ben,' an unassuming guy who's been a sperm donor for years, premiered Wednesday night.

He's recently been contacted by 15-20 of his biological children, and in this clip reveals to his fiance that his sperm may be responsible for fathering as many as 70 offspring.

To her credit, Ben's fiance manages to contain her reaction, but the shock, and possibly horror, in her face is evident.

Ben's fiance tells him she sees his actions as selfish, and the gravity of his decision seems to hit him in a way it hadn't before. "I guess I was dumb. Maybe I'm being dumb now, I don't know," he says.

How to they make sure none of these kids end up marrying each other one day?
Why create more kids without a father? Isnt there already ENOUGH kids without dads? Good fathers who help raise them? Proven fact kids without a father are at a severe disadvantage. I know first hand sadly.

Okay so these single moms have put all their hopes and dreams on a dumb, unattractive sperm donor...? I thought the whole point of these banks was that at LEAST you could choose a smart, handsome donor if you have to deal with the absence of a father. I hope the nature vs. nurture debate leans towards nurture for these children and I hope their moms have the time to nurture the best out of them. This fiance should run, not walk, away from this dumb, unattractive and selfish man immediately. Her kids could date his kids and fall in love and have biologically unfit children (both from his double-genes and from the risk of mental problems.)

If she does have children with him, they will be biologically related to 70 other half-siblings. Something about that is just freaky. I would almost worry for my unborn chidren about that.

This is absolutely stupid. All sperm donors should know that their genetic DNA means something special. Why would they go out giving their sperm up to total strangers? If that particular woman wants to have a damn baby so badly, why don't they go out and meet some special someone to get pregnant or to become artificially inseminated for this purpose.

Don't know why anyone would make a big deal out of this? Sperm donating was going on for decades..
He didn't pick the women they picked him.
If she finds this a problem she should thank him for his honesty and move on. There's other fish in the sea.

I can't believe how many people making comments, that are surprised by a proceedure that has been going on for generations, and that is,sperm doners are very common, and are necessary to bring the miricle of birth to those who may be infertile .Always thought this procedure was well known .Have heard of women impregnating themselves with sperm through a roasting baster .It happens .There is enough sperm in one ejaculation to impregnate a thousands of women .
