The old adage that men marry women who are like their mother didn't seem to be true on 'The Big Bang Theory' (Thu., 8PM ET on CBS). And yet, when he suggested that Bernadette spend the weekend with him as a trial run for possibly living there permanently after they get married -- Run, Bernadette! Run! -- the transformation took just one night.

At first, Bernadette was understandably freaked out by Howard's relationship with his mother, but by the next morning she was yelling across the house like an old pro. Howard seemed at parts delighted by their connection, and a little disturbed.

But then again, maybe that was us projecting. He should be disturbed about sweet Bernadette turning into whatever his mother is, but Howard's had an unhealthy relationship with his mother since the beginning. It could be interesting to see the women in his life tugging him in different directions, and seeing which way he ultimately goes.
