'How to Be a Gentleman': Bert Gets Andrew to Ask His Neighbor Out (VIDEO)

'How to Be a Gentleman' - 'Pilot'If it seems like we just saw Kevin Dillon on 'Entourage,' that's because we did. But he's back already, and he's playing pretty much the same guy on 'How to Be a Gentleman' (Thu., 8:30PM ET on CBS). That said, he's not the titular gentleman ... or is he?

The name is based on a column written by Andrew (David Hornsby), while Bert (Dillon) is a guy who used to bully him in high school. But when Andrew's magazine forces a new direction on him, suddenly a guy like Bert is exactly who he needs to be trying to understand.

It's the classic 'Odd Couple' formula, only the two of them aren't living together. But Bert is already having an influence on Andrew. In one visit to his apartment, he got Andrew to ask out the hot woman from across the hall.

The date was a disaster, but that's mostly because the woman turned out to be a rather horrible human being. But Andrew is learning new facets of how to be a man. That said, there's room in the show for Andrew to teach Bert a few things about being more refined as we go along.

After a rough opening few minutes, 'Gentleman' seemed to quickly find its groove. It's not groundbreaking comedy, but it's treading familiar ground in an entertaining way. And, after one episode, it's already running more smoothly than '$#*! My Dad Says' managed in its entire first season.
