Seth MacFarlane: Republicans are Nuts, or Crazies Have Become Their Mouthpiece (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Oct 3rd 2011 12:45AM
Seth MacFarlane, 'Real Time with Bill Maher'Seth MacFarlane has certainly never backed down from making fun of everyone and everything, but there is also a noticeable, and unapologetic, liberal slant to his satire. On 'Real Time with Bill Maher' (Fri., 10PM ET on HBO), he talked about a shift he sees happening in the Republican Party.

When Bill Maher mentioned that one in four Republicans believe Obama might be the Antichrist, MacFarlane said that this was a type of rhetoric we never heard during the Clinton administration. He would like to think that most Republicans are still sensible people, but that's not what he's seeing in the media anymore.

"Either they've now turned nuts," he said of the Republican party, "Or they've allowed the crazies to get control of their mouthpiece and let the rest of us think that they are."

I'm sorry, I just don't like MacFarlane, his cartoons are women hating, intelligence insulting gross outs. I am not a republican but it's the media that's distorting everything. If you are not liberal, you are an idiot, that's what the media tells us. I am an independent social & fiscal moderate and am tried of being told what to think and refuse to be condescended to by the likes of Seth MacFarlane. Bill Maher is nothing more than a Playboy mansion fixture with a Peter Pan complex, they are both trash. They live their personal lives like craven animals and then tell us what we need to do to be socially pure. I am not buying it.

Sigh....interesting that we are the ones who are crazy when the other party wants to take over 1 seventh of the economy with a health care plan no one has any idea how to pay for.

"Takeover"? Aren't you a little dramatic? BTW it is 1/6th of the economy.

codeman, you are right but no one will listen because they value what celebrities say over what you an read every single day in any newspaper. most of the people who follow the ultra liberal almost radical talking heads on TV have never had to pay a bill or raise a kid or pay for anything other than a pitcher of beer.

He is completely right! The far right has taken over the party and moderate, rational thinkers stand no chance of being heard. I think the Republicans would stand a chance of taking back the presidency, but not with one of the clowns now on stage.

exactly, he was a rich white kid from connecticut and now richer from his stupid cartoons. he can afford to be ultra liberal, most of us cannot. we need to stress fiscal conservancy with a social conscience.

Seems the right-wingers don't care to hear the truth! Many of the Old GOP came out and stated that the loonies have taken over their party; and today, many of the Old GOP are disgusted with the loonies, that have taken over. Try actually listening to today's GOP. How can anyone state they are not short one brick a load!
