Ana Gasteyer is in the midst of a TV transition, going from playing Larry David's girlfriend on Season 9 of 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' to starring in the new surreal suburban comedy 'Suburgatory.' She went on 'The Wendy Williams Show' (weekdays, syndicated on Fox) to talk about the show and her character.

'Suburgatory,' shot in a single-camera style and without a laugh-track, kicks off when Jeremy Sisto's single-dad character finds a condom in his daughter's sock drawer and decides to move out of the city. Gasteyer plays one of his wacky neighbors who demonstrates pretty quickly that weirdness remains in full supply, even outside the city.

Gasteyer summed up her character succinctly. "We play a very exaggerated, insane version of the American rural family, with these sex-starved mothers ... I play an alpha Martha mom."
