The women of 'The Big Bang Theory' (Thu., 8PM ET on CBS) cracked the code of how to get Raj to talk to women without being drunk. They set him up with a deaf girl, played by Katie Leclerc ('Switched at Birth'). To facilitate communication, Howard joined them on their first date.

There, Raj was probably happy that Emily couldn't hear his attempts at flirting and boasting, as he couldn't have possibly sounded more ridiculous. Luckily, Howard toned it down a lot for him in translation. Unfortunately, Emily turned out to be a less than desirable girlfriend.

We learned that Raj is the kind of guy who will shower a girlfriend with gifts, which we could have expected, and that his family is cartoon character rich, like Richie Rich-rich. Or as it was translated, about halfway between Bruce Wayne and Uncle Scrooge rich.

Hopefully the gang won't give up and we'll get to see Raj at least start dating more often. If everyone else is going to hook up, why not Raj ... though he does have the deepest issues impeding his ability to move forward in this area of his life (surprisingly more than Sheldon).
