While much of the main cast was off trying to prove Leslie was born in Pawnee, as she states in her book, three of them were left behind at the office on 'Parks & Recreation' (Thu., 8PM ET on FOX). April and Ron have a great office relationship -- she's like the pupil he never knew he wanted -- but neither of them have every really connected with Ann.

So Ann spent much of the episode trying to become closer with them ... or maybe just get them to talk to her. Once it started working, Ron shut her down hard. "Thank you for sharing, Jenny," he said completely unnerving her.

He later explained that it was a strategy to keep people from getting too friendly. "I like to call them by the wrong name to let them know I don't really care about them," he smiled.

April, sitting next to him complimented him, and then used his own tactic against him. The smirk on Ron's face says it all. April is well on her way to being his protégé in every way, and he couldn't be prouder.
