CBS Cancels 'How to Be a Gentleman'

by Chris Harnick, posted Oct 8th 2011 1:20PM
How to Be a Gentleman Canceled'How to Be a Gentleman' is the first new CBS show to get the axe.

On Oct. 7, CBS announced it was moving the show to Saturdays -- yep, basically a death timeslot -- but now EW confirms production on the sitcom is shutting down.

'Rules of Engagement' will now air Thursdays at 8:30PM.

'Gentleman' is the fourth new show to get canceled. NBC pulled the plug on 'Free Agents' and 'The Playboy Club' and The CW has ended 'H8R.'

However, out of the four canceled shows, 'Gentleman' is the highest rated. The first episode of 'Gentleman' was watched by roughly 9 million viewers. Final episodes of 'Free Agents' and 'Playboy Club' had around 3 million viewers and 'H8R' had 1 million or so.

David Hornsby created and wrote 'How to Be a Gentleman' and also starred alongside 'Entourage' veteran Kevin Dillon and '24' scene-stealer Mary Lynn Rajskub.

I'm not sad to see that show gone, it wasn't funny, in fact just plain stupid! If 21/2 men don't improve, I won't watch that either...for Ashton to end up with Charlie's old flames...give me a break! Ashtone is not Sheen, and the part he plays is an idiot...worst than Allen, but at least Allen is funny (John Crier)...2 broke girls, same, dumb, story line doesn't change, it's about the cupcakes...we get it! Really disapointed in CBS lineup, not very good this year at all..love Mike and Molly! Not a fan of Rules of Engagement either...oh well, they've got to have something better out there for winter...lets only hope!

I agree with you regarding two and a half men. The moron that replaced Charlie sucks. He isn't funny and can't act. I say time to kiss Sheen's butt and bring him back.
