by Chris Harnick, posted Oct 11th 2011 10:35AM
Mythbusters iGeniusDiscovery is turning its attention to Apple co-founder Steve Jobs and his legacy in a new documentary, 'iGenius: How Steve Jobs Changed the World.'

hosts Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman will host the one-hour documentary that will feature interviews with noted tech, media and entertainment figures.

"Someone once said that to follow the path that others have laid before you is a very reasonable course of action, therefore all progress is made by unreasonable men," Savage said. "Steve Jobs was an unreasonable man. He didn't simply give the public what they wanted, he defined entirely new ways of thinking about our lives in the digital space: productivity, creativity, music, communication, media and art. He has touched, directly and indirectly, all of our lives."

The documentary will feature interviews with Daniel Kottke, Lee Felsenstein, Tom Brokaw, Stevie Wonder and Pete Wentz.

After its Sun., Oct. 16, 9PM ET premiere, 'iGenius' will debut across Discovery's international portfolio of networks.

This is just so over the top that it's embarassing. People like Einstein and Edison and Henry Ford changed the world. To compare Jobs to people like that reflects a myopia all too common to geeks. He may have been a great marketer but hardly a great man.
