'Dancing With the Stars' (Mon. 8PM ET, Tues. 9PM ET on ABC) fan favorite Derek Hough just keeps getting better and better. This week he and celebrity partner Ricki Lake -- who wasn't an early favorite to go all the way -- scored the first perfect 10s of the season from the judges. On last night's live results show Hough blew the crowd away when he took to the floor with his sister Julianne for a jive. Now it appears that Derek did it all with a dislocated shoulder. Ouch!
According to 'The Hollywood Reporter,' Derek dislocated his shoulder in rehearsals yesterday, but after seeing the doctor he decided to dance through the pain and perform as planned.
The injury wasn't mentioned during last night's broadcast, and a source told 'People' that after dislocating his shoulder Derek just "popped it back in, but he is still in a lot of pain." Double ouch!
Former 'DWTS' pro dancer Julianne, who returned to the ballroom last night to promote her role in the upcoming 'Footloose' remake, Tweeted that "It's kinda crazy how Derek & I danced for the first time after I had surgery & how this time His shoulder was injured The show Must go on!!"
Injuries are nothing new for the pro dancers on 'DWTS' -- remember Kym Johnson's harrowing neck injury last season? -- but Derek's bum shoulder doesn't bode well for his performance in next week's '80s-themed show with Ricki Lake.
