Another Incredibly Close Finish in a Disgusting 'Survivor' Challenge (VIDEO)

'Survivor' (Wed., 8PM ET on CBS) got really gross this week with its Immunity Challenge. And then, to make it worse, they made the disgusting part of the challenge part of the reward as well. Still, after 14 days out there, the contestants weren't complaining. When they arrived, they found two roasted pigs, and the challenge was pretty simple. Get the most meat into a bowl in the allotted amount of time. The gross part was that their hands were tied behind their backs and they could only use their mouths.
Cue several minutes of contestants spitting meat and slobber into the bowls, picking meat up off of the ground -- and out of each other's mouths.
Even Jeff Probst had to acknowledge that this challenge was quite simply disgusting.
It was also, as has become the norm this season, incredibly close. By only two ounces, the Upolu tribe cemented a victory, which was good news for Coach. As reward, they got vegetables and bread, and they got to take all that meat they'd just bitten off home and cook it up as well.
This week, Coach found the Immunity Idol as well, which almost offset how upset he was when Stacey left the game telling Savaii he was running the show. He's definitely playing his best game yet, and doesn't seem to have the arrogance that Ozzy is showing. But Redemption Island may prove to be his downfall.
It's an interesting twist, this Redemption Island thing. Not only does it allow ejected people a chance to get back into the game, but they can influence the social aspect of it. And we've seen how bitter people can get as they're getting voted out of 'Survivor.'
Ozzy's game isn't going nearly as well, though, as he thought he was in a pretty good spot. But when he suggested Coach should eliminate strong players soon on the other side, it was seen as an indication he might want to do the same. While they didn't cut him, because he is a big contributor, they did eliminate his closest ally Elyse.
And, based on next week's promos, it looks like he's going to throw a world-class temper tantrum because of it next week. That should be fun.
