Fox Bumps 'The X Factor' for Baseball
Pity the poor schedulers over at Fox. Not only have they had to bench 'New Girl' to accommodate an extended 'X Factor,' but now they've had to move 'X Factor' because of the weather and sports.Last night's planned two-hour episode did not air because of a rain delay during Game 4 of the American League Championship Series between the Detroit Tigers and the Texas Rangers.
Instead, viewers on the East Coast got to see the game, while West Coast viewers were treated to a rerun of an episode from last week.
Judge Paula Abdul Tweeted "#Baseball really is America's favorite pasttime! lol! Game 4 rain delay, no #XFactor tonight. back TOMORROW night 8/7c on @FOXBroadcasting."
The rain delay means that the first part of the "judges' houses" round, which should have aired last night, will air tonight (Thursday) instead, at 8PM ET.
Part two will now air this coming Sunday, Oct. 16 at 8PM ET, and part three will air, as scheduled, on Tuesday, Oct. 18, at 8PM ET.
There's been no word yet on what will happen if the playoffs go to a Game 7, which would air on Sunday night. Stay tuned for updates.
