Bill Clinton, 'Late Show with David Letterman'With a political powerhouse like Bill Clinton on 'Late Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on CBS), David Letterman couldn't resist talking about some of the serious issues plaguing the United States today.

He couldn't understand why people who aren't struggling in these trying times aren't willing to have their taxes raised.

"If I was the kind of person who was struggling financially, and I saw somebody who wasn't, I would be more than happy to assail them for doing their fair share," he said.

But, as he argued, he's always looking to blame somebody, which he thinks is human nature. Clinton disagrees.

"One of the best things about Americans is we don't really resent other people's success," Clinton argued.

"What about Leno?" Letterman argued, which proved to be the exception to Clinton's rule.

Every time Bill Clinton gives a speech, he makes 6 figures. If he's so concerned that he's not paying enough, why doesn't he write a bigger check to the US Treasury? Millionaires are already paying significantly more both in dollars (as they should) and percentagewise, despite Buffett's claims. All these millionaires protesting for more taxes, can simply write a bigger check, and let those that want to keep their money in the private sector do their thing. So come on Bill, write a bigger check.
