'Up All Night' (Wed., 8PM ET on NBC) is still juggling these two seemingly disparate worlds, but with this week's episode that balancing act suddenly made sense. It's the same balancing act Reagan is trying to have with her life.

She wants to be the perfect mother, but she's also a driven career woman who wants to be able to go out and party. Just so long as she's home in time for the family before Amy goes to bed.

It's the same struggle working mothers deal with every day. They also deal with some stay-at-home moms being judgmental because of their "choice" to work.

When Amy joins a new baby program, Reagan gets into a heated rivalry with "Kayla's Mom." We loved the identifying monikers being as parents to the various kids. That's another thing that happens to parents as they go along. Suddenly you're identified by your affiliation to your kid.

"Amy's Mom" wants to prove she can be every bit as committed as "Kayla's Mom," but when she loses her cool, she gets her whole family kicked out. Later, though, the two women commiserate over the challenges of closing a stroller. Ultimately, they just smash the thing to bits, which makes them like mothers in arms, now.
