Josh Groban is Andy's Little Brother, and Parents' Favorite, on 'The Office' (VIDEO)

With Andy stepping up as the new regional manager on 'The Office' (Thu., 9PM ET on NBC), we're getting the opportunity to get deeper into him as a character. This week, that was through a garden party he threw -- at Schrute Farms! -- to try and make his father proud of him.Stephen Collins and Dee Wallace played his parents, joined by Josh Groban as his younger, and clearly favored brother. He even got the namesake from the father, rather than the eldest son! It became a lot more clear why Andy's so insecure and acts out ... and even had such rage issues when we first met him.
When Andy tries to have a moment with his father, singing a duet, Walter Sr. instead asks his youngest son to come up and join him, completely dismissing Andy. It's a callousness and cruelty that was at the same time so plausible. And at the same time, thanks to an ill-placed baby monitor, it allowed the office gang a deeper understanding of their boss.
These last two weeks, this show has been on fire. Andy is stepping up in a great way as the new leader of the gang, and even their pathetic pandering to Robert California works brilliantly. But the best moments throughout came through Dwight's implementation of the "party tips" he learned in one of Jim's best all-time pranks!
