Ryan Phillippe Joins 'Damages' Season 5

Ryan Phillippe DamagesRyan Phillippe is joining the cast of 'Damages.'

According to TVLine, Phillippe has booked a major role in the upcoming fifth season of the Glenn Close-fronted legal drama. Details on his role are being kept under wraps.

Last season, John Goodman, Dylan Baker and Chris Messina joined the cast.

Previous guest stars include Ted Danson, Lily Tomlin and Martin Short.

This will be Phillippe's first regular TV job since he played Billy Douglas on 'One Life to Live.'

No premiere date for 'Damages' Season 5 has been given, but TVLine suggests summer 2012 as a safe bet.

Who really cares about a show that can only be watched if you have Direct TV. One of the best shows ever to be seen on TV can't be seen by the majority of its fans. RIDICULOUS.
