Enrique Iglesias is Moved by Christa Collins on 'The X Factor' (VIDEO)

Enrique Iglesias & Nicole Scherzinger, 'The X Factor'It was the last of the Top 32 on a special Sunday edition of 'The X Factor' (Sun., 8PM ET on FOX) and it proved that this is going to be a brutal elimination for the judges. One thing 'The X Factor' has done for us is allow us to get to know each of these contestants personally and as performers, which makes these cuts as difficult for us to watch as it must have been for the judges to make.

Christa Collins seemed to connect with Enrique Iglesias, who was helping Nicole Scherzinger make decisions in the Over 30s category. But did she do enough to make it to the live shows? It's a particularly brutal category, and one Scherzinger agonized over as she sees this as a last shot for so many of them.

But while it was evident that a few acts didn't live up to their potential in this round of the competition, it's almost impossible to easily pick out half of the remaining 32 to go home and be done with. Nevertheless, on a special Tuesday episode this week, that's exactly what's going to happen.

Thanks for the update, could not take WATCHING the prolonged selection process from the judges. I FELT SO MUCH SYMPATHY FOR THE CONTESTANTS, l istening to the comments from the judges. The comments from the judges sounded like the contestants were receiving thier last rites, as oppose to a meaniful critique. KEEP YOUR HEAD UP X-FACTOR CONTESTANTS, IF YOU SURVIVED THOSE HORRIFIC COMMENTS FROM THE JUDGES, YOU WILL SUCCEED AT YOUR CRAFT!!!

Melanie is the most amazing singer. She sings like an angel and has a beautiful gift from G-d. She needs to be the next Beyonce. She is 18 years old and is in college. She has her whole life ahead of her. She is flawless in her presentation and I want to hear more every time she sings. I can't get enough of her smooth effortless sound. I want her to win the five million. She deserves it!!

I just do NOT understand why these judges pick singers that have lots of 'flat' notes, are more in tune to exactly what is going on in the current industry INSTEAD OF reaching out for NEW voices & new material.
I've picked my choices: Josh, LeRoy, Stacey, Melanie, & oh my gosh my brain just froze up, another male that brought tears to my eyes.
The 'group' singers absolutely STINK. Many of the females are so typical in sound & song choices of all the b.s. female singers (so-called) of today; they all sound exactly alike & are not identifiable.
With millions of people who CAN sing, why do they pick so many that cannot? Maybe it makes it too difficult to choose from 100 plus off the street voices so they throw in a ton of non-singers. Bah humbug.
These judges need to get their ears cleaned out.
