Alan Discovers His Girlfriend's Secret Past on 'Two and a Half Men' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Oct 18th 2011 12:45AM
'Two and a Half Men' - 'A Giant Cat Holding a Churro'After getting shut down by Lyndsey, Alan found himself sitting up and watching television with Walden on 'Two and a Half Men' (Mon., 9PM ET on CBS). As happens late at night, one of the channels switched to their softcore porn offerings, where the two were treated to a familiar face.

It was a younger version of Lyndsey -- we loved that Courtney Thorne-Smith gave intentionally wooden and terrible line readings for the scene. Alan couldn't stand the secret, so he went to confront her about it.

What he maybe failed to realize, though, was that Lyndsey having a porn film in her past -- she was promised it could get her a gig on 'Melrose Place' (natch!) -- is virtually chaste compared to Alan's own past. And as usual, his mouth runneth over and Lyndsey runneth him out of her house.

This show is not getting worse every week, it is dead.

This was the best ep of the season so far. I laughed out loud several times. And I love that Alan spilled all the crap things he did last season. I was waiting for some of those loose ends to be addressed and was glad that they were reintroduced.

Loved the return of Cinnamon Buns. I'd almost forgotten that Herb and Charlie already knew about Lyndsey's film history until the TV came on and realized that these two didn't know. While this ep wasn't up to par with most of the past seasons, it was still pretty funny in spots. It does feel like the writing is wandering aimlessly at times and that's why Alan is getting a lot of screen time. Still better than the first few episodes of the season though.

They are paying Ashton a lot of money. Use him. Jon Cryer plays a pathetic character, and he has been featured in all the scripts. This show is getting worse each week.
