'Zombieland' TV Show Coming to Fox?

Zombieland'The Walking Dead' and its record ratings have proven one thing: Viewers love zombies. So when will the other networks hop on the zombie apocalypse bandwagon? Now!

According to Vulture, Fox and Sony Pictures Television are in talks to develop a 'Zombieland' TV series for the 2012-2013 season.

If the project, a half-hour version of the hit 2009 film starring Jesse Eisenberg and Emma Stone, proceeds, it'll likely be without the film actors.

Vulture confirmed the news with 'Zombieland' producer Gavin Polone and he noted the original plan was to make it a TV show. In fact, CBS ordered a pilot script in 2005. 'Zombieland' writer Rhett Reese told MTV News they have been planning a series with new characters and less gore.

"If the TV show goes, then the sequel won't happen," Polone said.

The Season 2 premiere of AMC's 'The Walking Dead' Season 2 premiere was watched by about 11 million viewers (when encore airings are factored in), breaking cable records. The series is a runaway hit, besting many broadcast shows in the coveted 18-49 demographic.

i would watch it, but i would prefer if they just stuck to films. Zombieland was an amazing film but i do not think it would do so well as a series.

One zombie show is enough, and nothing would ever be able to compete with the Walking Dead, which is the best show on TV period. I won't watch Zombieland, and I won't even give it a try.

half hour must mean a zombie sit-com which means 50-50 that it's stupid
