Josh Schwartz Working on US 'Misfits' Remake
According to Vulture, Josh Schwartz, the teen angst maven who gave audiences 'The OC' and 'Gossip Girl,' is working on an American version of the wildly popular British series about young adults with superpowers.
'Misfits' isn't totally unfamiliar to US audiences, the first two seasons of the hit E4 show made their way to Hulu this summer and have been viewed by millions.

Before you start thinking of every other failed US adaptation of a British show ('Life on Mars,' 'Skins), know this: 'Misfits' creator Howard Overman is reportedly working with Schwartz to pen the American version. There's no network attached yet and Schwartz and Overman plan to write the script on spec.
The duo could begin shopping the projects around to networks late 2011 or early 2012.
'Misfits,' a BAFTA award-winning sci-fi drama, follows a group of young community service workers who get powers after a freak electrical storm. Only 13 episodes of the series have been produced. The third season debuts on E4 in late October.
